Helsal 4 is a 62-foot cruiser racer, with an emphasis on comfort. Owned by the Fisher family, iconic in the world of ocean racing, Helsal 4 was brought out to Australia in 2006 by our skipper, John Bourke, who sailed her to Hobart from the Mediterranean via the Panama Canal and the Pacific islands. Tony and Rob Fisher won line honours in the Sydney Hobart race back in 1973 with his original Helsal, fondly known as the 'Floating Footpath' because of her concrete construction. Helsal 4, his latest acquisition, is built more for comfort than for speed, although she will still turn it on if you feel like hoisting on a bit more sail and putting the boat through its paces. Helsal 3 has just been re-purchased by the Fisher family after some years in Sydney. She is being refitted for racing, private charters and corporate day sailing. At 66 feet she is the largest and fastest yacht on the Derwent River. Click here to view larger image
